Hotline Controls Engineer

  

Use your knowledge of controls engineering fundamentals to help Körber Supply Chain deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will contribute to the implementation of Körber's next generation of products by programming, testing, and/or validating products in the factory and customer sites. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of engineering projects and programs.

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of turn-key solutions in both distribution and manufacturing facilities.

Your role in our team

  • You will provide technical and online assistance.
  • You will provide professional telephone support to customers both internal and external.
  • You will provide professional online software support for PLC.
  • You will manage the hotline ticket system for IT, Facilities, and Controls.
  • You will manage the support process on an integrated basis.
  • You will work on ongoing issues to reduce the volume of calls.
  • You will provide effective communication to senior management and support colleagues.
  • You will maintain support desk documentation.
  • You will monitor trends and action plans to prevent issue escalation.
  • You will follow through and own issues raised by yourself, if not resolved.
  • You will escalate problems to the next support level where required and continue to manage the problem until resolved.
  • You will review and identify common issues raised from reports that need remedial action, either through PLC / WCS teams or additional site training.

 

 Your profile

  • You are capable of working night shift and on call.
  • You gained a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electrical).
  • You have gained basic Knowledge of PLC controls.
  • You have gained 2+ years of experience in the field or a related area. 
  • You have worked with different HMIs-Allen Bradley & Siemens or ability to learn quickly.
  • You can travel domestically with the possibility of international travel.
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and Körber customers.
  • You have the interest and skill to collaborate with engineering functional teams.
  • You can consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity.
  • You have the capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on given project tasks.
