Field Service Technician
Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be working in the Field Service Department with a team of experienced technicians serving our customers’ technical service requirements.
Your role in our team
- You will perform the troubleshooting, repair, service, and installation of multiple tobacco machines in a timely and accurate manner, and independently without supervision.
- You should be capable of communicating effectively with customers and within other departments of Körber in both verbal and written form.
- You will support customer personnel by providing technical knowledge and expertise on the equipment.
- You will conduct training for customer personnel on the maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment upon request.
- You will provide technical support to customer personnel regarding the inventory of critical spare parts and convey knowledge on the use of spare parts catalog.
- You will assist in the support of control systems, utilizing manuals, schematics, and test equipment.
- You will be prepared and ready for service assignments, including international travel, for any length of time.
- You will prepare service reports accurately and submit biweekly or more frequently if necessary.
- You will keep abreast of new technological developments of assigned Körber equipment. Be able to support the sale of additional Körber products while in the field with recognition of potential opportunities and reporting them to Sales.
- You will perform work assignments in a safe and responsible manner.
- You will represent the company professionally and conduct business with tact and diplomacy.
Your profile
- You are a college graduate with a B.S. in mechanical/electrical engineering OR you have equivalent education and experience.
- You have at least five years of experience in the assembly, repair, installation, or design of high-speed equipment.
- You have mechatronics skills.
- You have effective communication skills.
- You have proficiency in MS Office.
- If you have previous SAP experience, this is a plus.
