Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist you will be working in the Parts Manufacturing/Inspection department to produce parts meeting specifications.
Your role in our team
- You will perform diversified machining operations including set up
- You can work with minimal supervision, with or without process sheet information
- You have working knowledge of computers
- You will work independently performing assigned duties while ensuring quality workmanship
- You will use necessary precision measuring equipment ensuring acceptable functionality of parts or assemblies
- You will determine and use the proper tools for each assignment
- You will keep all equipment and work areas clean
- You will perform all activities in a safe manner
- You will move material within the department by use of a hand truck or other material handling device
- You will perform all other duties as assigned
- You will report malfunction of equipment to supervisor
Your profile
- You have a high school graduate with completion of a state-certified Apprenticeship program as a Machinist
- You have a minimum of five years of experience as a Machinist
- You have experience operating CNC and manual lathes (0.5”–15” diameters), as well as CNC and manual mills, grinders, and drill presses
- You must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds up to four times per hour
- You have good eyesight for use of precision measuring instruments
- You have hearing ability that allows detection of abnormal cutting and bearing sounds
- You are able to remain on feet for eight-hour shift
