Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be working in the Engineering department with the Director, Engineering, and your colleagues to manage complex engineering and development projects.

 

Your role in our team

  • You will manage project development from beginning to completion.
  • You will identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities in close cooperation with the Engineering Manager.
  • You will define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • You will develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • You will create and execute project work plans and revise them with Manager’s approval as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • You will monitor the project’s budget.
  • You will resolve and/or escalate issues to appropriate managers in a timely fashion.
  • You will identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • You will effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • You will determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • You will proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • You will define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
  • You will supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • You will estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • You will draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Where required, you will negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • You will plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • You will track project milestones and deliverables.
  • You will develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • You will determine and assess the need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle.
  • You will delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • You will identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

 

Your profile

  • You have a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, with five years of experience in a Project Manager role. 
  • You have the ability to function as a liaison among different departments to coordinate the work. 
  • You have effective leadership and very good communication skills.
  • You must be a complex thinker, have good organizational skills, as well as be able to execute work plans. 
  • You must have a sound technical understanding of complex projects. 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Project.
