Maintenance Services Technician

Hauni Richmond, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Maintenance Services Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Services Technician you will provide overall support of tobacco machinery included in APP or similar service products at customer sites by assisting customer in protocol qualifications, production support and maintenances. You will also provide technical solutions to improve the machinery’s performance and improve the maintenance services program. You will protect Hauni’s interests while preserving and enhancing customer satisfaction.


Your role in our team

  • You will provide necessary support to the customer by giving expert guidance during and at the end of all planned maintenances. 
  • You will assist the customer during the post intervention protocol to ensure machine performance. 
  • You will provide and perform hands-on work when requested to and agreed to by the customer.
  • You will assist customer’s preventive maintenance technicians during planned maintenances by clarification of parts, contents of the maintenance, disassembly and assembly, and initial set up procedures, and tune and test of the Hauni equipment on site.
  • You will document and distribute issues and suggestions for improvement during the post intervention protocol.
  • You will make recommendations to the planned maintenance program to enhance the performance of the equipment and lower the cost of the APP.
  • You will contribute to KPI improvements and assist in implementation.
  • You will contribute support for engineering initiatives and machine upgrades as required.
  • You will render assistance with installation of material. 
  • You will support customer in return of repairable items.


Your profile

  • You are a high school graduate with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience with specialized training.
  • You have at least three years of experience in production support of high-speed equipment and the ability to tune and test the tobacco machinery at the customer site. 
  • You are able to instruct and train the customer technicians in production environment.
  • You have the ability to understand the maintenance program and make recommendations for improvements through the life of the program.
  • You must be sensitive to customer politics, unionized environment and have ability to work with a broad spectrum of personalities.
  • You have Microsoft Office skills and SAP knowledge. 
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
