Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop backend components using Java and Quarkus.
• Work with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL, to design, optimize, and maintain data storage solutions.
• Implement and fine-tune search capabilities using Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to define and implement requirements.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, and security, applying best practices.
• Debug and resolve technical issues across services and databases.
• Write well-documented, testable, and efficient code.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and architectural discussions.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL for database management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, CI/CD, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
