Platform Engineer - Koerber Data Platform 

Location: Porto, Portugal 

At Körber Digital, we're driving data-driven innovation across multiple business areas. As a Platform Engineer on our team, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and operating the cloud infrastructure and data analytics environment that powers our initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and Maintain Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and manage our Azure-based cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. 

• Optimize CI/CD Pipelines: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for our data platform components to ensure efficient and reliable deployments. 

• Implement Security Best Practices: Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements and implement best practices. 

• Collaborate with Users: Work with platform users to create scalable, production-grade data processing environments. 

• Monitor Platform Health: Oversee platform health, costs, and performance to ensure optimal operation. 

• Support Automation: Develop and maintain automation tools for various platform components. 

• Data Lake Architecture: Build and manage data lake architecture using Delta Lake and Databricks. 

• Data Governance: Implement data governance and security controls to protect data integrity and privacy. 

• Reusable Components: Create reusable components and templates for data ingestion and processing. 

• Onboard New Data Sources: Collaborate with business areas to integrate new data sources and use cases. 

• Technical Support: Provide second-level technical support to users. 

Required Skills: 

• Cloud Infrastructure Expertise: Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services. 

• IaC Proficiency: Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform. 

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Python. 

• Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. 

• Monitoring and Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability of cloud infrastructure. 

• Automation Mindset: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell. 

• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions. 

• Data Platform Experience: Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, especially Databricks. 

• Azure Data Services: Expertise in Azure data services like Data Factory and Event Hubs. 

• Data Modeling: Experience with data modeling and Delta Lake architecture. 

• Machine Learning: Knowledge of ML and MLFlow. 

• Event Data Processing: Experience with event data processing.
