Hauni Richmond, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry has an outstanding career opportunity available for a APP Technician to join our team.

 

 

 

Your role on our team

 

  • Proficiency in tune and test of the machines and provide necessary support to the customer by giving guidance at the end of planned maintenances. Assist the customer during the post intervention protocol to ensure machine performance. Provide and perform hands-on work when requested to and agreed to by the customer.
  • Assist customer preventive maintenance technicians during planned maintenances by clarification of parts, contents of the maintenance, disassembly and assembly, and initial set up procedures.
  • Document and distribute issues and suggestions for improvement during the post intervention protocol.
  • Make recommendations to the planned maintenance program to enhance the performance of the equipment and lower the cost of the APP.
  • Contribute to KPI improvements and assist in implementation.
  • Contribute support for engineering initiatives and machine upgrades as required.
  • Render assistance with installation of material. Support customer in return of repairable items.
  • Provide overall support of machinery included in APP or similar service products at customer sites by assisting customer in protocol qualifications, production support and maintenances. Provide technical solutions to improve machinery performance and improve the maintenance program. Protect Hauni’s interests while preserving and enhancing customer satisfaction.

​​​​Your Profile

  • Individual must be able to work in a loud production environment. Individual must be able to climb in, on, and under machines and work in awkward positions for extended periods of time. Work on all three shifts.
  • High school graduate with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience with specialized training.
  • At least two years experience in production support of high-speed equipment and the ability to tune and test tobacco machinery on a customer site.
  • Able to instruct and train the customer technicians in production environment. Ability to understand the maintenance program and make recommendations for improvements through the life of the program.
  • Must be sensitive to customer politics, unionized environment and have ability to work with a broad spectrum of personalities.
  • Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
