Tune and Test Technician, Electrical

Hauni Richmond, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Tune and Test Technician to join our team.

 

 

Your role on our team

  • As a Tune and Test Technician you will be performing the required phases of the tune and testing process necessary to bring a completely refurbed machine to its stated operating capacity and efficiency while ensuring that the machine is completed by scheduled deadlines.
  • You will also ensure that machine being tune and tested passes necessary internal audit as well as customer acceptance tests. 
  • You will diagnose and correct mechanical or electrical problems that occur during the tune and testing phase of machinery refurbishment.
  • Assist in planning the tune and test operation sequence to ensure most efficient use of time and resources.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate laboratory product testing equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to function in a high-pressure, demanding situation. Demonstrate ability to maintain composure during inevitable challenges in the tune and testing process and/or in front of customer representative(s) in-house during machinery acceptance tests.
  • Communicate clearly and precisely with in-house personnel as well as customer representative(s).
  • Assemble, dismantle and test electrical/electronic components.
  • Repair electrical / electronic equipment including the cleaning of parts returned by the customer.
  • Test all electrical / electronic equipment including ground fault and current draw testing.
  • Use hand and electric tools in the assembly and repair of equipment.
  • Perform all work safely while adhering to company safety standards.
  • Perform duties associated with assembly of prototype equipment.
  • Uncrate and unpack returned equipment as well as crate, pack, and prepare assembled equipment for shipment.
  • Unload and load equipment from trucks with forklift truck and move equipment in the assembly area with forklift or hand truck.
  • Travel to customer sites for installation and/or troubleshooting work as requested. Use of company vehicle for trips to customers, landfill, etc.

 

Your Profile

  • You have a high school graduate with vocational training in a mechanical or electrical / electronic discipline or equivalent experience.
  • You must have at least three (3) years’ experience in panel wiring / painted circuit boards and / or complex electrical / electronic assembly with good mechanical and analytical abilities.
  • You must be able to use complex electrical / electronic schematics and be able to work with color code cables.
