Hauni Richmond, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for an Assistant Sales Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Sales Manager, you will be working in the Sales and Business Development Department with the Sales Managers and the Director of Sales and Business Development in supporting the assigned Sales Managers for the designated accounts.

 

Your role in our team

 

Order Processing Management Responsibilities

  • You will serve as intermediary between the Sales Manager and Hauni Richmond departments to process quotes into an internal SAP orders
  • You will provide support to designated Sales Manager as the primary contact for all order processing issues and execution of orders for HRi
  • You will monitor time schedule for all orders and communicate with customers on all aspects of order execution
  • You will proactively prepare shipping documents, packing list, and invoices in order to achieve the committed delivery time to the customer
  • You will update the information in SAP, ensuring that all binding documents are uploaded including quote, orders, technical questionnaire and order confirmation
  • You will coordinate after-sales service with Technical Service and Spare Parts departments
  • You will provide clarification of accounting/invoicing issues with Hauni Hamburg and with customers. Follow up on account receivables /overdue in collaboration with the Sales Managers and Sales Controlling department
  • You will prepare the internal purchase requisition and intercompany equipment purchase when needed
  • You will generate reports out of SAP related to the assigned account
  • You will independently handle customer claims and warranty issues and cooperation with Stockroom on return shipments and special shipments from Hauni Richmond and Hauni Hamburg

 

Sales Assistant Responsibilities

  • You will work independently providing quotations for subassemblies and services of both for Hauni Hamburg and Hauni Richmond. Utilization of SAP is required
  • You will prepare offers and order confirmations for machines and primary equipment under the guidance of the Account’s Sales Manager
  • You will manage and maintain customer account during absence of the Sales Manager
  • You will provide support to Sales Manager in preparing meetings and presentations

 

Your profile

  • You have an Associate's Degree in Business with a commercial background
  • You have extensive experience in sales support and administration in the capital equipment industry
  • You have knowledge of Hauni organization/international capital equipment sales company – especially regarding sales procedures and order execution processes for machinery, sub-assemblies and primary equipment. 
  • You are an experienced SAP user
  • You are an experienced with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. MS Project beneficial.
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and within the organization.
  • You have a personality conducive to maintaining excellent customer relations.
  • You have knowledge of INCOTERMS and Export control process.
  • You have a technical background or an inclination to technical topics/interests
