Körber Supply Chain Denmark is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead procurement and supply chain activities across three SBUs. In this role, you will develop and implement procurement strategies, optimize supplier management, and ensure efficient processes that support both operational and financial success. You will report to the VP Procurement and Director Finance, working closely with finance, operations, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and develop the procurement organization across three SBUs, ensuring both strategic alignment and operational excellence. You will define, implement, and continuously refine the company’s procurement strategy and supply chain processes, contributing directly to profit generation through efficient purchasing, risk assessment, and market trend analysis. 

You will maintain transparency of purchasing volumes and accurately forecast future demand, while conducting market and supplier analyses to support category management and strategic sourcing. Although the role is primarily managerial, it also involves hands-on responsibility for directly leading a small team and: 

•    Implement and enhance procurement policies, processes, and controls to comply with internal and external regulations.

•    Drive achievement of procurement KPIs and implement corrective or improvement measures as needed.

•    Facilitate collaboration between procurement, operations, finance, and supply chain functions.

•    Benchmark performance and implement best practices to improve efficiency and competitiveness.

•    Identify and execute cost-saving and value-creation opportunities through strategic supplier management and process optimization.

The role involves close collaboration with corporate management and SBU leadership teams, project managers and project teams, production and planning departments, as well as suppliers and service providers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field and brings a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain, including at least three years in a leadership role. You will have a proven track record of managing procurement functions across multiple business units or regions and possess strong commercial acumen, with deep knowledge of supplier management, market analysis, and strategic sourcing. Experience in developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver measurable improvements in cost, quality, and service is essential.

Professional Skills
You will demonstrate expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities are essential, along with proficiency in ERP/procurement systems such as SAP and data analysis tools. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are required, as well as the ability to translate strategy into operational execution and measurable outcomes. Experience in leading change management and process optimization initiatives will be highly valuable.
