Health & Safety Specialist
Arden, DK
Health & Safety Specialist
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Specialist to play a key role in ensuring a high level of health and safety across our organization. In this new position, you will work close to the business and be actively involved where it really matters — on-site and in production environments where we carry the main project responsibility.
Your core mission will be to identify and minimize risks, prevent accidents, and drive strong H&S standards across complex project setups. The role offers significant opportunities to travel and gain first-hand insight into our global sites, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being present where operations take place.
A key part of the role is to train and support employees in safe working practices, while actively contributing to the development and reinforcement of a strong H&S culture throughout the organization.
You will be responsible for preparing H&S plans for projects where required by customers, as well as preparing RAMS for tools and work situations on-site. In connection with new projects, you will be involved from the early start-up and preparation phase, including the tender phase, where you will contribute by identifying and clarifying specific Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements applicable in the country where the project is to be established. You will also ensure that these requirements are communicated and integrated from the outset of each project.
In addition, you will:
• Provide professional support on Health & Safety matters within production, as required
• Prepare, maintain, and implement Health & Safety procedures and guidelines
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture
• Support incident investigations, including conducting root cause analyses and defining corrective and preventive actions
The role includes the authority to stop unsafe work or environmentally harmful activities, enforce compliance with applicable H&S and environmental rules, and escalate deviations and nonconformities to management when necessary.
Your primary interfaces will be on-site workers and site managers, and you will work closely with the responsible manager for on-site workers to ensure that relevant information is shared in a timely and effective manner.
We expect that you have 3–5 years of experience within Health & Safety, as well as 3–5 years of experience acting as a site operator or in a similar role. Technical experience is an advantage, and certification as an ISO 45001 auditor is preferred. Furthermore, you are expected to have knowledge of ISO 14001 requirements and general environmental regulations. The role includes travel activities corresponding to around 40–50 travel days per year.
On a personal level, you thrive in a role with many interfaces and a visible presence in the organization.
You are empathetic, easy to talk to, and able to build trust with employees at all levels. You remain focused in busy situations and are capable of finding pragmatic solutions without ever compromising on health and safety.
