Senior Portfolio & Product Manager - Advanced Robotic Solutions
Körber Supply Chain is looking for a Senior Portfolio & Product Manager to shape and develop our portfolio of advanced robotic solutions for intralogistics. This strategically important role focuses on maximizing value creation and commercial success across the full lifecycle of robotic products and solutions.
The position covers existing solutions such as Layer Picking, new initiatives on the roadmap including Mixed Case Palletizing, as well as future robotic concepts.
In this role, you will drive the definition and execution of the product and portfolio strategy, based on deep expertise in advanced robotic applications, market trends, customer needs and business priorities. You translate these insights into clear development priorities and requirements, while R&D project managers are responsible for technical execution.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Acting as the “voice of the market,” you ensure that solutions remain relevant, scalable and aligned with Körber’s strategic objectives. You will conduct market analyses and competitor benchmarking and build and maintain product roadmaps for both new and existing robotic solutions. You develop and own business cases with a focus on target cost, ROI and lifecycle profitability, define value propositions and align go‑to‑market strategies with Sales and Marketing. In addition, you monitor the financial performance of the products and ensure a coherent pricing and positioning strategy.
Working closely with R&D, you translate market and business requirements into technical requirements and advise on best‑in‑class robotics technology stacks, including emerging approaches such as AI‑ and digital‑twin‑based motion control. Together with the VP of Product & Portfolio Management, you prioritize development initiatives based on business impact and customer value and contribute to make‑or‑buy and co‑development decisions. You ensure that solutions are complete, serviceable and designed with a strong focus on lifecycle costs, sustainability and integration with the broader Körber product portfolio.
The role involves close collaboration across the organization, including R&D, Sales, Strategic Marketing, Execution and Service. You support innovation and eco‑design initiatives, contribute to the development of innovation roadmaps in collaboration with customers, and ensure the availability of high‑quality sales materials, training content and configuration tools. You also act as a key interface towards Group Innovation & Technologies (AIR program) for robotics‑related topics.
Your Profile: Half Business Developer, Half Technical Strategist
We expect you to hold a relevant academic degree within business, engineering or logistics and to have at least eight years of relevant professional experience. You bring solid experience in product management, product strategy or business development in a technical environment and are comfortable working in complex, cross‑functional organizations. You combine strong business acumen with technical insight into robotic solutions and communicate confidently in English at all organizational levels.
As a person, you work in a structured and results‑oriented manner, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands‑on approach. You are a strong communicator, able to build trust and collaboration across a wide range of stakeholders, from engineering and operations to senior management. The position is a full‑time role with approximately 50 travel days and does not include direct people or budget responsibility.
