Site Manager
Are you an experienced Site Manager who thrives on taking ownership of complex installation projects and leading teams in an international environment? Do you enjoy being hands-on while maintaining a strategic overview of project execution, customer expectations, quality, safety, and timelines? If so, you could be the Site Manager we are looking for.
As Site Manager, you will have overall responsibility for projects from the moment they are handed over by the Project Manager until successful completion on site. Acting as the senior onsite representative, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate activities across multiple disciplines, and ensure that all installation, commissioning, and testing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
In this role, you will work closely with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and internal specialists to secure a successful project delivery. You will be responsible for driving progress, allocating resources, managing budgets and forecasts, and maintaining a high level of quality throughout the installation phase. A key part of the role is building strong customer relationships and ensuring that any project adjustments are properly managed and documented.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and coordinating all onsite activities, including mechanical and electrical installation, commissioning, testing, and final acceptance.
• Managing multidisciplinary site teams consisting of Site Supervisors, Commissioning Engineers, PLC Software Engineers, and WCS/WMS specialists.
• Ensuring compliance with site safety standards, quality requirements, and the company's Site Excellence framework.
• Driving planning, resource allocation, budgeting, forecasting, and schedule management for all site activities.
• Acting as the primary customer contact on site and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
To succeed in this role, you likely hold a degree in Marine Engineering or another relevant technical discipline and have substantial experience managing installation projects on customer sites. You combine strong technical insight with excellent leadership and communication skills and are comfortable taking full ownership of both project performance and team success.
We are looking for a proactive and decisive leader who naturally takes responsibility, remains calm under pressure, and has the ability to navigate competing priorities while maintaining focus on project objectives. Experience within warehouse automation, logistics systems, mechanical and electrical installations, and commissioning activities will be considered a strong advantage.
In return, we offer a key position in a global organization where you will play a critical role in delivering advanced automation and logistics solutions to customers around the world. You will enjoy significant responsibility, a high degree of autonomy, and the opportunity to work alongside skilled colleagues in an international project environment.
Please note that this position requires extensive international travel and long-term assignments at customer sites worldwide.
