Field Service Engineer
In this varied and highly responsible position, your technical expertise is required to ensure the optimal performance of our advanced pharmaceutical machinery and equipment at customer sites worldwide. A key focus of this role is the professional execution and documentation of GMP‑compliant qualification and calibration activities.
Your role in our team
- Independent execution of installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection and repair work on our pharmaceutical equipment
- Troubleshooting and analysis of electrical, electronic and mechatronic components
- Implementation of technical adjustments and modifications according to internal specifications
- Execution, evaluation and documentation of qualifications and calibrations on our pharmaceutical systems
- Calibration of key measurement parameters
- Verification of measurement results according to defined tolerances and documentation of deviations (OOT/OOS)
- Initiation and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- GMP-compliant preparation of calibration protocols, service reports and technical documentation
- Support during qualification procedures (e.g. IQ/OQ)
- Technical support during customer and regulatory audits
- Instruction and training of customer personnel
- Close collaboration with our Technical Service Support team and internal departments
- Support for production and other technical service areas as needed
Your profile
You are a strong communicator, customer‑oriented and confident in your technical expertise. Thanks to your structured, analytical and solution‑oriented approach, you are comfortable working independently.
- Completed training in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a related field
- Experience in pharmaceutical engineering or other regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medical devices) is an advantage
- Knowledge of calibration processes and measurement technology is desirable
- Basic understanding of GMP, GAMP5 and documentation‑intensive work environments
- Confident in handling measurement and test equipment
- High level of accuracy, quality awareness and technical understanding
- Strong analytical thinking and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and customer orientation
- Flexibility, adaptability and resilience
- Strong commitment and ability to concentrate
- Very good English skills
- Willingness to travel (>70%) and to accept short‑notice assignments. Please note: Permission to travel within EU / USA is a prerequisite for this role
