Role Purpose

The AI Engineer is responsible for building, deploying, integrating, and operating AI solutions within production environments. Working closely with Product Managers, Architects, and vendors, the role ensures AI capabilities are scalable, reliable, secure, and deliver business value.

Key Responsibilities

AI Solution Development

• Deploy machine learning and generative AI models into production environments.
• Develop APIs, services, and integrations that embed AI capabilities into business applications.
• Build and maintain reusable AI components and services.Platform Operations
• Monitor model performance, latency, reliability, and availability.
• Implement observability, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Troubleshoot incidents and support ongoing service operations.

Optimisation & Scalability

• Optimise AI solutions for performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and MLOps practices.
• Contribute to automation and operational efficiency improvements.
  
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers and Architects to deliver AI solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors and platform providers to maintain operational stability.
• Support testing, deployment, and release activities.
  
  

Required Experience

• 3–6 years of software engineering, cloud engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML engineering experience.
• Experience deploying applications and services into cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, containers, and DevOps tooling.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, large language models, prompt engineering, or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and operational support practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP) desirable.
• AI, Machine Learning, or Data Engineering certifications advantageous.
