Data Engineer Mid (m/f/d)
Your Role
Our data team empowers the Körber Group with data-driven insights, modern architectures, and scalable analytics solutions.
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize data integration and analytics solutions across our BI landscape, ensuring reliable data flows and enabling informed, data-driven decisions.
Your Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models using SAP technologies (SAP Datasphere/Business Data Cloud, SAP Core Data Services) and Databricks

Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business SMEs to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across SAP and integrated systems.

Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance data architecture and automation.

Provide technical expertise during platform transformation and modernization initiatives.

Maintain clear documentation and promote best practices in data engineering.
Your Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

3+ years of experience in (SAP) data engineering, data modeling, or analytics.

Experience in SAP data analytics technologies (BDC, Datasphere) and/or Databricks
-
Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT design, and integration technologies (APIs, OData, CDS Views).

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.

Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data security.

Skilled in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional models).

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; fluent in English (German is a plus).

Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in an agile, international environment.
