Purpose of the Role

The Global Business Intelligence Manager plays a critical role in enabling data-driven strategic decision-making across the Group. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality business intelligence, conducting global trend and market analysis across businesses and regions. Acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership, this position ensures transparency, consistency, and strategic alignment in portfolio decisions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Design, develop, and maintain global business intelligence frameworks, dashboards, and reports for executive management and key stakeholders
  • Translate complex data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions
  • Ensure consistency and quality of data sources, KPIs, and reporting standards across divisions and regions
  • Continuously improve BI tools, methodologies, and automation to increase efficiency and insight generation

 

Trend, Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze global macroeconomic, industry, technology, and customer trends relevant to the Group’s B2B markets
  • Conduct competitive intelligence and benchmark analyses to assess positioning, risks, and opportunities
  • Identify emerging trends, disruption risks, and growth opportunities and translate them into strategic implications
  • Prepare strategic briefs, deep-dive analyses, and management presentations for senior leadership

 

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted partner to executive management, business unit leaders, strategy teams, and finance
  • Facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration on strategic topics and portfolio decisions
  • Support the global portfolio strategy process, ensuring right business intelligence standards
  • Support governance bodies, committees, and review boards with data, insights, and structured recommendations

 

 

 

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in business intelligence, strategic planning, market intelligence, management consulting, or corporate strategy
  • Proven experience working in global B2B environments, ideally within diversified industrial, technology, or manufacturing sectors
  • Strong track record of delivering executive-level insights, reports, and strategic recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional, cross-regional initiatives and collaborating with senior leadership

 

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
  • Strong data analytics capabilities, including SQL, data modelling, and data visualization best practices
  • Solid understanding of financial metrics, business performance KPIs, and portfolio management concepts
  • Skilled in market research methodologies, competitive analysis frameworks, and trend forecasting
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), especially in executive-ready presentations
  • Advantageous: Experience with automation, machine learning, or predictive analytics use cases

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in presenting complex insights to executive audiences
  • Ability to create compelling, concise, and visually clear management presentations
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
