Working Student - Automation & Power Platform (m/f/d)

Purpose of the role:
At Körber, automation is a key driver of efficiency, innovation, and business success. While many of our core business processes run on enterprise platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow, there are still significant opportunities to further automate, optimize, and digitalize processes across the organization.
To unlock this potential, we are establishing a new Automation Competence Center and are looking for a motivated Working Student – Automation & Power Platform to join us on this journey.
This is a 12-month part-time internship (20 hours/week), offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automation, low-code development, reporting, and digital transformation within a global technology and manufacturing group. You will work with modern Microsoft technologies, collaborate with international stakeholders, and contribute to solutions that create real business impact.
The role follows a hybrid working model, with attendance at our Porto office 1-2 days per week. Therefore, we are primarily looking for students based in or near Porto, Braga, or Aveiro, who can comfortably commute to the office when required.
This position is ideal for students who are passionate about technology, process improvement, and innovation, and who are looking to build valuable practical experience while completing their studies. For high-performing candidates, the role may also offer the opportunity to transition into a full-time position after graduation.

Your role:
As part of our Automation Competence Center, you will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of automation solutions that help drive efficiency and innovation across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders across different functions.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of automation and reporting solutions.
  • Developing applications, workflows, and digital solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing existing solutions.
  • Collaborating with business teams and technical experts in an international environment.
  • Supporting the maintenance and continuous enhancement of automation initiatives.
  • Contributing to the digitalization and optimization of business processes across the organization.
  • Helping transform ideas into scalable, practical, and user-friendly solutions.
Examples of solutions you may contribute to include project portfolio management platforms, risk management solutions, compliance monitoring tools, reporting dashboards, and workflow automation initiatives.

Your profile:
We're looking for a curious, proactive, and technology-driven student who enjoys solving problems and creating innovative solutions. Ideally, you bring:
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least one year remaining before graduation.
  • Interest in automation, process improvement, and digital transformation.
  • Initial experience with programming, scripting, or low-code development.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is a strong plus.
  • Good understanding of digital tools and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business processes and think end-to-end.
  • Curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn and experiment.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and self-driven attitude.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good English communication skills.

We offer you:
  • A 12-month part-time internship (20h/week) with meaningful and impactful projects.
  • Hands-on experience in a global technology and manufacturing group.
  • The opportunity to help build and shape Körber's new Automation Competence Center.
  • Exposure to modern low-code, cloud, automation, and reporting technologies.
  • Mentorship and support from experienced specialists.
  • Collaboration with international and cross-functional teams.
  • A potential opportunity to transition into a full-time role after graduation.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work options – we care about results, not locations.
  • Private Health Insurance – we care about your health on and off working hours.
  • Fresh fruits – we care about your daily dose of vitamins.
  • Fresh coffee, tea, and water – we care about boosting your day.
  • A home for passionate people who innovate, collaborate, and love what they do.
  • An environment where teams think and act entrepreneurially.
  • An international, dynamic, and inclusive working atmosphere.
  • The opportunity to take ownership, grow professionally, and develop your career.
Join us and help shape the future of automation at Körber while building valuable skills for your professional journey.
