Student Assistant - Mechanical Design

Körber Supply Chain is looking for a Student Assistant within Mechanical Design to work on advanced mechanical analysis as part of the Customer Service Sales department at Körber Supply Chain DK.

As a Student Assistant, you will work with in-depth analysis of our Layer Picker machines in close collaboration with internal mechanical design specialists. Your tasks will include carrying out structural integrity and fatigue life assessments of the primary structure, focusing on fatigue, stress concentrations, weld integrity, bolted connections, and load-induced failure mechanisms. These analyses will form the basis for defining inspection scope and acceptance criteria used in machine lifetime extension evaluations.

Furthermore, you will perform strength and lifetime calculations on mechanical moving parts such as bearings, shafts, chains, and gears. The analyses will provide a complete overview of required component replacements, identify obsolete parts and propose suitable replacement solutions, and determine which components must be replaced before the new end of life is reached.

We expect you to be a student within mechanical engineering or a similar technical field and to have a solid theoretical understanding of mechanical design, strength calculations, lifetime analyses, and FE-based design. You work in a structured, systematic, and analytical manner, have a strong attention to detail, and thrive with documentation and method development. At the same time, you are curious and motivated to work with complex industrial machinery.
Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor is an advantage. As we are an international company, fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.

You will be supported by experienced colleagues in mechanical design and engineering and will have the opportunity to work on a project with both significant technical depth and strong commercial potential.

We offer an exciting and educational student-relevant position in an international company, where you will become part of a professional, informal, and supportive team. You will have good opportunities for professional development and flexible working hours, allowing you to combine work and studies.
