Koerber Japan / Pharma Machinery Division: We provide solutions and services for local pharmaceutical customers in Japan, with a wide variety of products ranging from full/semi-automatic inspection machines, top load cartoners, blister machines, material handling equipment, isolators, etc.

Job Title: Koerber Japan, located in Tokyo, is seeking a Service Engineer for aforementioned products with special focus on automatic inspection machines.

Tasks:

• Performs installation, commissioning, validation support, troubleshooting, conversions and maintenance.
• Supports sales and project manager’s activities including attending customer meetings.
• Reports duty documents (technical reports, customer complaints, etc.) to both external and internal parties.
• Provides trainings to customers.
• Makes direct communication with peers at HQs of respective products for technical clarifications.
• Attends internal trainings at respective HQ’s factories or as OJT at customer premises. (Japan or abroad).

Qualification/Skills:

• Completed vocational training in a technical field, preferably in mechatronics, or electrical engineering, or information electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service in the pharma industry, particularly with experience in inspection, sterile filling, primary and secondary packaging is a plus.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing industry (GMP, IQ, OQ, validation processes., etc.)
• Demonstrates strong customers and service orientation along with excellent communication skills.
• Native-level Japanese proficiency and good written and spoken English.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Japan and occasionally to HQ abroad for FAT and training.  
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an international sales/service team.
