Your role in our team:
- Support of Körber’s central sustainability initiative team. This team develops the Group's sustainability strategy (ESG) and manages its successful implementation in order to fulfill Körber’s sustainability promise: "With our activities, we enable a better life for today’s and future generations." – That is our sustainability promise.
- Close collaboration with the leadership of the Körber-wide sustainability initiative.
- Establishment and maintenance of a cross-business and cross-functional PMO for sustainability projects in the areas of ESG reporting (e.g., sustainability report), ESG KPIs, ESG ratings and rankings, ESG software implementation, maintenance and further development, ESG improvement projects.
- Support of relevant stakeholders in planning and monitoring projects, development and implementation of project governance, and maintaining an overall overview of all projects.
- Project preparation, e.g., support in defining and prioritizing objectives, defining roles and responsibilities within the project team and its environment, creation of project plans.
- Project execution, e.g., continuous monitoring of project progress, status inquiries with responsible parties and target-group-specific reporting to stakeholders, identification and assessment of risks including the development of countermeasures, planning and allocation of resources, preparation, execution and follow-up of meetings, continuous project documentation and regular communication with relevant stakeholders inside and outside the organization, project controlling, definition and monitoring of quality standards, organization, moderation and follow-up of workshops.
- Project closure, e.g., preparation of the project completion report or presentation, development and documentation of best practices and lessons learned, sustainable anchoring of project results within the organization.
- Initiation and independent management of new projects until they are handed over to the relevant departments.
Your profile:
- Successfully completed vocational training or a university degree in the field of sustainability, business administration, or natural/engineering sciences with a focus on sustainability.
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in project management or as a PMO, ideally for projects in sustainability or environmental management in consulting firms or international industrial companies.
- You are passionate about project management and enjoy controlling and establishing project standards.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methods such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
- Experience in the confident use of project management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with project management standards and their quality assurance.
- Very good MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent knowledge of German and English.
- Excellent analytical skills, independent and structured working style.
- Confident demeanor, initiative, strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for sustainability as well as strong persuasiveness and assertiveness.
