Our Project Managers play a critical role in the deployment of Werum’s MES solution PAS-X and work closely in independent teams with clients to ascertain successful completion of projects addressing project challenges in regulated environments. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver the project(s) that span across more than one business unit and regional teams. They will manage resources, schedules, and financials and adhere to gate quality and GAMP guidelines throughout the full system development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Senior PM also contributes to process improvement initiatives and mentoring of fellow project managers to improve project delivery. The Project Manager provides leadership on assigned projects and acts to achieve financial, schedule, and client relationship objectives. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of professional experience in project management, must enjoy interaction with customers, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment and long term commitments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage national and international projects in a regulated industry that span one or multiple lines of business through the full project life cycle
  • Lead projects across other regional teams
  • Interact with C-level suite
  • Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate including project staffing, resource management, and budgeting
  • Interface with clients and relevant staff on assigned projects and promote positive relationships
  • Budget and profit responsibility in the context of IT project management
  • Provide timely and professional presentations to the Project Management Team and the Client
  • Risk and Issue identification, reporting, and management
  • Establish, control and manage the customer interface
  • Develop and advance the project management processes
  • Execute project-related control tasks in close contact with the internal control team
  • Advise the customer in terms of project management and implementation of business requirements
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate the project team
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication

Experience & Qualifications

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic personality
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A bachelor of science degree in a science or computer science field is required, an MBA or master of science degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of MES / ERP systems general architecture; Broad understanding of business functions
  • Minimum of three years of professional and management experience in a comparable position and supervising projects with at least three full-time employees
  • Experience working in a matrix organization
  • Experience in international IT project management is a plus
  • IPMA level D/C or a comparable PMI certification is a plus
  • Experience in GMP and MES projects is a plus
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Experience in the process of creating and updating SDLC documents is a plus
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders, and peers
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
