The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. This role requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of manufacturing principles, along with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Your role in our team
- You will design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety
- You will evaluate product designs and identify product cost reduction opportunities
- You will collaborate with product design, procurement, and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products
- You will analyze production data and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance product quality
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
- You will develop and implement process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow diagrams
- You will conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
- You will evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment to improve production capabilities
- You will lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events
- You will ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes
- You will provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment
Your profile
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science, supply management, or a related field
- Your certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
- You have experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Your background is in custom automation design and manufacturing
- You are proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks) and familiar with ERP systems such as SAP
- You have a strong understanding of materials science and product design principles, including material selection and application
- You know PLC programming and industrial control systems
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and support decision-making
- You have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment
- You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting, proficiency with Power BI or Access
