Your role in our team
- You will produce a mechanical design for packaging machinery that meets the customers’ specifications using creativity and innovation
- You handle all aspects of design engineering work
- You provide production support to the machining and assembly areas
- You use Pro/E to model purchase parts and custom parts
- You draft detailed multi-view drawings of machine and products
- You perform research on design of manufacturing processes
- You perform prototyping activities of new product development
- You evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- You review product design for compliance and engineering principles, company standards, and customer’s requirements
- You work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional level
- You determine problem analysis and problem resolution
- You specify and order integrated tools and equipment
- You troubleshoot to solve problems related to assigned projects
- You create BOM’s for purchased parts and machined parts
- You directly communicate with customers in the form of meetings and presentations to understand and define their needs
- You travel to customer’s plant to give presentation on their system and the assemblies that make up the system
Your profile
- You have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- You have at minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge in mechanical design in automation or related field
- You have two years of FAI design engineering experience
- You have a moderate skill level in Pro/Engineer software
- You are capable of designing new concepts and standards
- You are able to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time span
- You have great leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- You have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- You are able to travel 10% of the year
- You have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electrical
