Your role in our team
- You will review time records from internal timekeeping system including time off/vacation related requests for completeness and accuracy and upload to payroll system or 3rd party payroll provider.
- You will be responsible for preparing standard inputs for payroll processing (e.g. W-4 changes, retro pay, direct deposit changes, voluntary and involuntary deductions set ups and changes).
- You will maintain internal systems that effect payroll e.g., bonus, employee referrals, benefits, severance, etc. and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- You will process payroll related transactions such as child support payments online and deduction imports to benefits sites.
- You will prepare accounting transactions and reports as needed for the finance department.
- You will serve as expert for local human resources IT payroll and time management systems.
- You will complete wage information for employment verifications for government or banking agencies.
- You will function as expert for payroll questions and social security topics.
- You will receive questions via Employee Services HR Advisor and provide required answers/information.
- You will research and correct discrepancies in deductions, returns, etc.
- You will perform archiving, contract, and document management.
- You will manage relationships with external service providers as required.
- You will produce work according to defined standards and policies.
- You will actively drive continuous process and solution improvements.
- You will be responsible for HR file management.
- You will assist with HR audits.
- You will complete HR projects and improvement activities as needed.
- You will show a strong eagerness to learn and a positive attitude everyday.
- You will take responsibility across divisions for assigned tasks and topics.
Your profile
- You have a high school diploma or GED.
- Your Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is preferred.
- Your 3-5 years of experience in payroll is a plus.
- You understand various payroll taxes across states.
- You have effective communication skills.
- You have English language skills.
- You posess strong attention to detail.
- You are proficient in MS Office suite.
- Your general HRIS experience is preferred.
