The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing products, materials, and components to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements. This role involves conducting visual inspections, measurements, and tests, documenting findings, and working with the production team to address any quality issues. 

 

 

Your role in our team 

  • You will perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Utilize measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and conduct visual inspections to identify defects or deviations from specifications
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into quality databases
  • Communicate quality issues to the production team and collaborate to implement corrective actions
  • You will assist in the development and implementation of inspection processes and quality control procedures
  • Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring quality tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • You will support quality initiatives by assisting with employee training, supplier quality issues, quality assurance programs, root cause analysis, and staying current with industry standards and best practices

 

Your profile 

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent; certification in quality control or inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector) and technical training in quality inspection preferred
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality control standards and inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards
  • You are proficient in using measurement tools and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints, along with basic computer skills including familiarity with quality management software and data entry
