The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the financial, compliance, administration, tax, and legal activities of the company, which has two locations: the main production location in Fargo, ND, which houses most of the company’s functions, and our sales and service location in Apex, NC. The primary location for the VP of Finance will be in Fargo, ND.
Your role in our team
- You will direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, shareholder reports, and governmental agency reports
- Oversee monthly close process, and create forecasts predicting future growth
- Compare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
- You will review planning process and suggest improvements to current methods
- Define and maintain cost center and internal work order structure
- Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination
- Work with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the planning process
- You will act as a sparring partner to other executives
- Analyze business case opportunities for expansion into new product areas
- Lead projects such as software implementation and/or further development of in-house ERP
- Manage compliance and legal aspects for the company
- Review KPI’s and initiate action as needed to stay nimble
- You will act as a key contact point for Körber Pharma CFO with regard to all Körber Pharma entities in the US
- Manage department heads of Accounting, Controlling and IT, and work with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations
Your profile
- You have a B.S. degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. Your Masters in Finance or MBA is preferred
- You have eight plus years of experience in financial management
- You have a minimum of two years manufacturing accounting, and Knowledge of accrual-based accounting
- Understanding of GAAPs (German GAAP and / or US GAAP)
- Knowledge of Work-in-process (WIP) accounting
- You have understanding of job costing and/or project-based cost accounting
- You possess excellent management and supervisory abilities, along with excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems
