Packaging Development Engineer (m/f/d)
Using state-of-the-art technology and innovative design, we produce high-tech packaging machines and develop packaging solutions that are specifically tailored to the needs of the pharmaceutical industry. As a pioneer in the field of pharmaceutical packaging, we focus on innovation and continuous improvement in order to further expand our leading position. In your role, you and your team will be responsible for the development and product design of existing packaging variants. In addition, you will develop new, innovative packaging concepts that offer our customers real added value.
Your role in our team
- Designing and managing packaging drawings, including packaging samples
- Identifying and inquiring about customer needs, including their implementation in the context of packaging development
- Preparing packaging quotations and project management for packaging orders
- Conducting product and packaging tests (transport and human factor studies)
- Maintaining close contact with and supporting customers in the area of packaging materials throughout the product life cycle
- Collaborating with our sister company on innovations and technology exchange
- Internal and external technical clarifications for the development of new and special solutions
- New registration, administration, and monitoring of patents
Your profile
You are a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset, eager to join our packaging development team as either a career changer or seasoned specialist. You work independently with precision and take personal responsibility seriously. Thanks to your organizational talent and analytical thinking, you tackle challenges confidently and maintain a clear overview—even in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
- Completed technical apprenticeship as a design engineer, packaging technologist, or comparable
- Further technical education (HF/FH) in mechanical engineering or comparable
- Good CAD skills (Artios CAD is an advantage)
- Experience in project business or project management
- Experience in the packaging industry is an advantage
- Good German skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel for customer, supplier, and trade fairs
