Role Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate implementation of PAS-X client/server Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals, (including scheduling, technical direction, planning, and adherence to standard development practices), overseeing project execution within budgetary restrictions, identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope, including project staff and resource management, budget and profit responsibility for IT projects, and establishing, controlling and managing the customer interface.
  • Direct, review, and approve changes to project specifications or timeline in accordance with Quality System procedures, maintaining updated project plan and information.
  • Coordinate and lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to consult with customers to analyze business processes, define functional requirements, identify functional gaps, and recommend solutions to achieve customers’ objectives.
  • Analyze technology, resources, and customer needs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Recruit personnel, assign, direct, evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. 
  • Collaborate on global projects and manage sub-projects, managing a team to develop and customize software throughout the entire lifecycle, including managing virtual teams in matrix organization.
  • Map business needs into computerized operating procedures and appropriately configured MES system and support the configuration of PAS-X MES system.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers for developing acceptance test plans and validating software. Provide technical support and training to customers.


Desired Skills & Experience

Master’s Degree* in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or MIS *Or foreign equivalent. In lieu of Master’s Degree, employer will accept Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of progressive experience. Any single degree or any combination of degrees determined to be equivalent Master's Degree by a qualified evaluation service is acceptable. And two years of experience in developing PAS-X MES system specifications, implementing PAS-X software, including system integration, troubleshooting and performance analysis in compliance with GAMP; cGxP, and FDA regulations (cGMP, 21 CFR Part 210, 211, 11); performing GAP Analysis; and performing changes in accordance with PAS-X Quality Management Systems.
