Role Summary 

As a Data Engineer within the Data Solutions team, you will take responsibility for shaping, administering and evolving data products in our data platform. This role plays a crucial part in enabling secure, scalable, and high-quality data access across the organization. You will support strategic business priorities by designing and managing robust data workflows, working closely with both IT and business stakeholders to deliver impactful, production-ready data products. 

Your role in our team: 

• Data platform roll-out: Support implementation and adoption of a centralized data platform to consolidate and standardize data. 

• Manage the data platform, including monitoring, configuration, and optimization of data pipelines, storage layers, and semantic models. 

• Design and implement scalable and reusable data ingestion, transformation, and provisioning processes. 

• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and enable self-service analytics. 

• Contribute to the ongoing implementation, governance, and evolution of the data platform. 

• Support a key internal strategic initiative by ensuring timely access to high-quality data for critical decision-making. 

• Drive improvements in data quality, process automation, and platform reliability. 

Experience 

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform administration, or similar roles. 

• Experience with modern data platforms (especially Databricks and SAP Datasphere). 

• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles. 

• Previous involvement in enterprise change or business transformation programs is a plus. 

Technical skills 

• Data Modeling: Strong experience with data modeling and Delta Lake architecture. 

• Programming Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Spark/PySpark and Python.  

• Data Platform Experience: Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, especially Databricks.  

• Event Data Processing: Experience with event data processing. 

• Security Knowledge: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. 

• Azure Data Services: Expertise in Azure data services like Data Factory and Event Hubs. 

• Knowledge of other Power Platform tools is beneficial (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate). 

Soft skills 

• Excellent communication skills in English. 

• Analytical thinker with a structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset. 

• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams. 

• Committed to delivering high-quality, well-governed data solutions.
