Körber Technologies, Inc., a Sales and Service Company serving the North American Tobacco Industry, has an outstanding career opportunity available for a Mechanical Assembler to join our team. As a Mechanical Assembler you will be working in the Assembly department performing the mechanical assembly, repair, and reconditioning of electro/mechanical equipment within engineering specifications, providing quality workmanship and meeting production requirements.
Your role in our team
- You will work independently, complete subassemblies and assemblies according to engineering specifications.
- You will dismantle, replace necessary parts, and reassemble used equipment, ensuring quality workmanship.
- You will perform machine assembly duties within prescribed tolerances, ensuring functionality.
- You will use hand and electric tools in the assembly and repair of equipment.
- You will uncrate and unpack returned equipment as well as crate, pack, and prepare assembled equipment for shipment.
- You will unload and load equipment from trucks with forklift truck and move equipment in the assembly area with forklift or hand truck.
- You will clean returned machinery and equipment using steam, sandblasting, and other cleaning methods.
- You will travel, as necessary on an occasional basis, to the customer's site for troubleshooting, installation, support, service, and acceptance tests of equipment.
- You will work in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards. Keep work area clean.
- You will work as a team member in a cooperative manner.
Your Qualifications
- You are a high school graduate.
- You have vocational training, with an ability to read and use engineering drawings as well as use micrometers and other precise measuring devices required.
- You have at least five years’ experience in the assembly of tobacco related sub-assemblies / modules or equivalent complex machinery or as a Journeyman Machinist.
