Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Responsible for handling inventory (raw material, parts, etc.) through receiving, storing, distributing, reordering, and shipping. Organizes and completes inventory counts. Verifies and keeps record of incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

 

Your role in our team

 

Inventory

  • You will perform and reports weekly cycle counts for designated areas to manage inventory 
  • You will reorder stock items if needed
  • You will pull and distribute inventory for specific jobs 
  • You will organize inventory area(s) 
  • You will organizes detail list of purchased parts that need to be returned to vendor and taken off job

Receiving

  • You will compare parts against items listed on shipping orders, memos or bills of lading for incoming shipments 
  • You will Unpack, count, examine, and label incoming shipments 
  • You will reject damaged items and/or records short items or errors. Contacts shipper to resolve issue 
  • You will place and assign items received in proper bin location (whether for a specific job or raw material)
  • You will utilize appropriate equipment to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials 
  • You will complete daily receiving entries in computer system 
  • You will help others tracks received purchased parts through the use of barcodes and serial numbers 

Shipping

  • You will understand lead times associated with shipments 
  • You will complete customs documentation for international shipments accurately 
  • You will ensure items are dropped off/picked up at destination in a timely manner as requested by coworkers 
  • You will compare parts against items listed on shipping orders, memos or bills of lading for outgoing shipments 
  • You will load/unload items from truck or freight trucks as required 
  • You will prepare parts to be sent to plating 

Your profile

  • You have a High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • You have experience in manufacturing environment preferred

  • You must have a valid driver’s license and a record clear of poor violation convictions such as ‘Reckless Driving’ or ‘Driving Under the Influence’ (DUI/DWI) within the past three years, or two or more at-fault accidents within the past three years.
