What will you aim for?


Körber is looking for an experienced Vice President Corporate Communications & Brand to join our global organization. The Vice President (VP) will be responsible for the development of an excellent and impact-focused, short- and mid-term brand positioning and communication strategy and will contribute to the strategic planning process. The VP will steer and spearhead the implementation of the strategy, directly managing brand positioning and communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization’s reputation and increase the organizations visibility in core markets and among core target groups.

The expert we are looking for will be a core ambassador for the organization utilizing strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. The VP will report direct to the EVP & CMO, work close with our executive leadership team, and be responsible for a small team of communication professionals.

What are your core contributions?


Brand and Communications Strategy

  • Develop an integrated strategic brand and communications strategy based on the brand identity, and increase the visibility of the organization and our offerings
  • Further detail this overarching strategy into an investor, analysts and media relations strategy and execution plan that will allow the organization to cultivate and enhance strong relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences
  • Identify challenges and emerging issues for the organization
  • Work with the leadership and communication team to recognize internal and external communications opportunities, and define and execute appropriate tactics
  • Evolve the internal communications framework to support the employee retention goals, the development of a ”one company culture” and support strategic initiatives (like M&A)
  • Serve as communications counselor to the executive leadership team and other functional leaders within the organization
  • Be aware of changing regulatory requirements and advise the company on what can and cannot be done from a communications perspective (i.e. GDPR)
  • Is the brand champion and expert while ensuring corporate purpose, value and brand integrity in all respects
  • Lead the development of strategies and objectives for building and executing year-round brand engagement through partnerships, social media, and other marketing vehicles.
  • Have experience in large scale branding, positioning and messaging projects.
  • Communications Operations
  • Steer positioning and message development for all communications
  • Exercise judgment to prioritize investor, analysts and media opportunities and act as a core spokesperson and lead point for investors, analysts and media representatives
  • Coordinate board meetings, analysts and press conferences, releasing financial data, leading briefings, publishing quarterly and annual reports
  • Handle internal and external financial data requests, be tightly integrated with a company's accounting department, legal department, and executive management team
  • Modernize and oversee the further strategic development of the portfolio of core communications channels to all stakeholders
  • Counsel and coach the team around the strategy implementation as well as the production of materials as well as or the preparation of talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material as needed
  • Manage the brand and communications function including budgeting, planning and employee development

  • Coach the communications team to effectively and efficiently further develop and execute the brand and communications strategy
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality
  • Establish and monitor team performance on business and communication


Your profile

  • Masters degree in social studies, psychology or economics combined with sufficient practical experience in journalism or communications
  • Minimum 10 years international experience in a management role either in-house or with an b2b communications agency; experience with a SaaS / Software vendor would be a plus
  • Proven skills in relationship building with top tier editors and industry analysts
  • Strong track record of successfully positioning subject matters with media
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic brand communications framework to key stakeholders like media, analysts and employees
  • Creative and thoughtful on how new technologies and communication automation measures can be utilized
  • Solid experience in managing a global PR, AR, IR and internal communications strategy
  • Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans
  • Experience in building, mentoring, and coaching a team of communications specialists
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports as well as peers
  • Stature, gravitas, and confidence to gain the credibility and respect of high-performing Board and Executive Leadership members
  • Self-reliant, contemplative, good problem solver, results oriented
  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
  • Excellent and persuasive communicator
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance, and administration initiatives
  • Able to travel for internal and external meetings as required
