IT Hardware / Software Technician

Reporting to the Repair Centre Manager, you will possess computer hardware and communication skills, have a customer focused approach, excellent attention to detail and be able to work under your own initiative.

 

You will assist the Repair Centre Team in repairing mobile computers, headsets and charging equipment, ensuring that the customer SLA are met while adhering to our Körber standards.

 

Responsibilities

  • Configuration, installation, support and repair of hardware and associated firmware, and software to quality standards.
  • Accurate and timely maintenance of computerised records relating to customer repairs, configuration, order processing, despatch, and stock control so far as they relate to your role. 
  • Process goods receipts of stock purchases and faulty equipment for repair.
  • Assist with dispatching of customer orders and repaired equipment.
  • Creation and maintenance of repair documentation to include repair centre processes and user guides.
  • Attend and contribute to regular departmental meetings, updating the team with any findings and knowledge sharing opportunities.
  • Assist with the production of weekly and monthly reports as required. 
  • Assist the Repair Centre Manager with building maintenance tasks.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Repair Centre Manager

 

Experience and Qualifications 

  • You will have knowledge of hardware and repair centre processes. 
  • You are highly motivated, driven, and proactive.
  • You have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have strong organizational, problem solving, planning and time management skills.
  • You have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office/ 365 product suite.
  • You have excellent attention to detail.

 

Skills/Behaviours Desired

  • You have computer hardware related skills and training
  • You have experience in IT networks
