Your role in our team
- You will use your strong expertise in software design within a multi-discipline rapid development team to extend capabilities of existing Körber products and develop new capabilities to position Körber for maximum growth.
- You will architect and plan system level PLC based machine controls for Material Handling Automation solutions to address specific customer needs.
- You will evaluate and develop new technologies and creative product innovations driven directly by customer applications.
- You will develop proof-of-concept prototypes and test methods to demonstrate performance requirements are met. You will participate in customer demonstrations.
- You will contribute to planning and managing proof-of-concept development projects.
- Your team will develop system requirement and functional specification documents for handoff to engineering and operations teams.
- Your team will provide oversight through first deployment to ensure quality execution of intended design.
Your profile
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas
- You have eight (8) years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Knowledge and Responsibilities.
- You have current experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider PLC languages, architecture and networks desired. Other platforms a plus.
- You have expertise in Electrical schematic and panel design (Control Panels, Motor Control Panels, Motor Control Centers, Power Distribution) using AutoCAD Electrical
- You have Network design using Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP
- You have experience in Human-Machine Interface programming
- You have experience with conveyor systems (Parcel, Baggage, ASRS, Etc.), large machine design, and/or motor control desired.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You have strong ability to document technical decisions with illustrations and clear verbal explanations
