About the Role
In this context, we are looking for our entity in France, a Bid/Sales manager to ensure the
development of commercial activity by delivering high-value intralogistics solutions, contributing to
excellent customer experience, strengthening the existing customer portfolio, and identifying and
capitalising on new business opportunities.
The role requires a strong appetite for identifying opportunities and business development & strong
technical-commercial capability. Particularly in sorting system (Parcel/mail), pallet-based and/ or
tote-based automation solutions, the ability to interpret and guide basic data analysis for solution
definition, and close collaboration with solution designers and regional specialists.
Key Responsibilities
During the bid phases, the role will be to lead customer engagement end-to-end, manage the tender,
present accurate and competitive technical-commercial proposals, and safeguard the company’s
commercial, technical and financial interests.
The other part of this position will be sales development, by promoting the company, identifying new
opportunities & customers.
Responsibility for managing and coordinating bid projects, as well as for managing technical
and interdisciplinary project teams (including legal, finance, ….).
Responsible for proposal costs, & project budget, including associated calculations. Certify
compliance with the company's policy for quality, environment and safety
Analyze customer requirements, coordinate the systems design, and identify/evaluate project
risks. You handed the detailed planning of proposal preparation (bid strategy, schedule,
proposal costs, and target price). Ensure that the proposals are in accordance with the
customer needs and specifications
Own and develop customer relationships through direct visits and continuous engagement
before, during and after project execution, leading negotiations and resolving issues to ensure
long-term trust and customer satisfaction.
Analyze and monitor market evolution & trends, identify sales opportunities and develop
proactive and / or reactive mechanisms that allow analysis of competitive positioning and
customer segmentation
Identify and actively seek new customers and new business opportunities, manage and
leverage existing customers and businesses to achieve previously defined goals.
Manage the CRM system of the activity data according to the commercial process in force.
Manage the customer’s order book under their responsibility, following the processes and
deadlines, to anticipate unplanned situations and the satisfaction and loyalty of its customers.
Participate in marketing activities, fairs, workshops in the markets of their responsibility.
Promote the continuous improvement process. Support the development of reports and
management information analysis.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education: Degree in Economics/sales, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
o 5+ years in bid/sales management
o Experience in industry (logistics is a plus)
Skills:
o committed, responsible team player who keeps set goals and improvements in focus
and capable of inspiring others for joint projects
o intercultural experience and are open to challenges
o strong knowledge in English (any other language is a plus)
o Comfortable working across disciplines
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
