We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team who is specialized in steel construction to lead and coordinate the steelwork scope within our global industrial projects. 

Your Role in the Team

• You will be responsible for steel construction sub-project management in our worldwide projects, ensuring that deadlines, quality and costs are met.
• During the proposal phase, you will design the initial steel structure concept and, together with Purchasing, Suppliers and Sales, make sure this high-value discipline meets the target costs.
• You will develop solutions for complex support structures and for conveyor system layout, especially when integrating new components into existing installations and existing structural documentation.
• You will ensure that external engineering partners and steelwork suppliers receive all relevant information, resolve design clashes, and support the construction phase.
• You will support the Site Manager in case of issues during steel construction and will be responsible for the acceptance and handover of the steelwork scope.

Your Qualifications

• A university degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on steel construction (or similar), plus several years of experience in steel construction.
• Knowledge of fire protection, accessibility, escape routes, and seismic load considerations.
• Familiarity with the applicable standards and regulations for steel construction.
• Ideally, experience with platforms and walkways in industrial installations made from cold-formed and hot-rolled sections.
• Fluent English is essential for this role.
• You are proactive, customer-oriented and willing to travel nationally and internationally.
