The goal of this position is to achieve sales targets by evaluating customer requirements, creating competitive and attractive layout designs for automated solutions, and leading meetings with internal and external teams. The solutions will include Körber products such as ASRS machinery, Layer Picker and AMRs, as well as third party supplied machinery like package conveyors, stretch wrappers, print-apply, and more. Körber products also include AGVs, 3D pallet shuttle, and case-handling solutions.

You will design layouts in partnership with the solution design team, following the standards & guidelines set by our global solution teams. For larger or more complex projects, these teams will provide support when needed.

Your role in our team

• You will prospect for new business using several in-house software lead generation apps.
• You will develop ROM pricing and designs on your own. 
• You will create layouts based on customer requirements, using the Körber product portfolio, solution standards, and where required 3rd party equipment from partners or suppliers.
• You will build a funnel of sales opportunities that are sufficient to support annual targets.
• You will collect input from other departments or suppliers to correctly configure and price equipment or services. Provide the specifications for them to do this.
• You will cooperate with sales and solution design to build the total costs of the solution. 
• You will lead sales managers and sales engineers at customer meetings. Prepare layout walkthrough presentations.
• You will participate in the proper hand-over of sold projects to the execution team(s).

Your profile

• You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• You have gained 7-10 years of experience in a similar role in the material handling industry is required.
• You can travel up to 75%.
• You have strong working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD.
• You have proven mechanical and controls engineering skills.
• You can communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including engineering, sales teams, customers, and more.
