VP Strategic Alliances (m/f/d)

The Strategic Alliances team is charged with identifying, establishing & cultivating business relationships with industry-leading companies to bring unique high-impact partnership opportunities to market. This team will place particular focus on strategic alliances (the Big 4, Management Consulting, GSI) and technology influencers that have high relevance to our strategic priorities and present cross-functional and multi-market growth opportunities.

In this role, you will drive the initiation and development of these strategic alliances and partner heavily with cross-functional teams to ensure enterprise alignment to maximize our market potential. A further key part is to support Körber’s senior leadership team in providing insight around emerging trends, players, and alliances impacting the commercial space, developing metrics to measure ROI from partnerships.

The ideal candidate must be both “hands-on”, “big-picture” focused and have a track record in a global, multi-cultural environment

  

Your role in our team

 

  • Define and roll-out the global strategic alliances program
  • Build and manage the newly developing global strategic alliances function in close collaboration with Körber’s executive leadership team
  • Apply innovative and critical thinking to synthesize an understanding of the market and customer needs to identify business growth opportunities through collaboration with strategic alliances
  • Spearhead research efforts on our target partners to understand existing alliances landscape and identify key decision makers, market dynamics
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various members of our organization including sales leadership, sales, partner management, portfolio marketing and many more to develop the partnership
  • Define and align go-to-market plays to increase competitive position in selective markets
  • Stimulate demand and influence existing opportunities in the pipeline
  • Work with the strategic alliances and the Körber academy to increase the services capacity for the portfolio of solutions
  • Partner with senior leadership to support and iterate on the go-to-market and global alliances strategy
  • Help to roll out processes and procedures to enable scalable and sustainable growth via the strategic alliances
  • Ensure cross-organizational communication and education about Körbers strategic alliances
  • Influence internal teams to mobilize resources. Elevate local strategic alliances to global ones.
  • Showcase your measurement and tracking skills by helping to assess alliances annual performance metrics and outcomes in an effort to nurture growth and optimize channel revenues

 

Your profile

 

Minimum 10+ years’ experience in business development or alliance management roles with a focus on complex new business development.

  • Education: Bachelor or master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Robust strategic skills, with the ability to identify and assess key points, implications, and recommendations towards strategic alliances
  • Outstanding relationship and influence leadership skills working with internal and external parties
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to drive successful results in a fast-paced international environment with white space
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience in the Supply Chain space is required
  • Understanding of partner eco-systems and experience working with strategic alliances (Big 4, Management Consulting, GSI) preferred
  • Strong external network of relationships in relevant industries
  • Education: Bachelor or master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bonus if you have experience in working with GSIs (Global Systems Integrators) such as Accenture, McKinsey, Deloitte, Oracle, etc.
