Technical Support Analyst (m/f/x)
A rare opportunity exists on our Tier 2 Support team to resolve a variety of technical issues for the Koerber Software WMS Suite. This exciting role will require the ability to troubleshoot complex customer problems within our warehouse management software, Windows OS, SQL Server and Oracle databases, Crystal and SSRS reports, Bartender and Loftware printing solutions, and other 3rd party vendor software. This position will interface with customer administrator and IT teams, project leaders, product developers, and implementers on support issues and assisting with the research of problems.
Your role in our team
This position may require working on-call overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Intake customer issues escalated from Tier 1 and troubleshoot business and operational issues associated with the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Quantify issues and provide supporting data if issues are escalated to engineering.
- Manage the WMS environments and migration of configurations between environments
- Translate business requirements into technical design documents using Microsoft Visio, Word, Project, and Excel
- Report changes in Dashboard, SSRS and Crystal Reports, such as modifying existing reports with additional search criteria or adding new search field elements and creating new report pages for single tables or multiple tables using simple joins.
- Develop and mentor operations team members as WMS Super Users and Trainers on warehouse and distribution best practices with WMS
- WMS data administration including new users, menus, locations, pick and put-away sequences, zone data, etc.
- SQL performance monitoring/index and query tuning.
- Create Knowledge Articles, Release Notes, Testing Plans and RCA’s
Your profile
- BS/BA, Computer Science, or equivalent degree
- Intermediate to Advanced experience in databases (SQL/Oracle) queries and stored procedures
- Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
- Strong customer service skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills with strong people skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and self-manage
Will be a plus:
- 3+ years technical customer support experience
- ITIL Foundation Certified
- Experience with computer programming and basic understanding of computer programming languages recommended
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) expertise in RedPrairie (JDA), Manhattan Associates, SAP- WM, Oracle-WM,, Infor etc.
- Labeling (Bartender or Loftware) experience a plus
- Reporting (Cognos, Business Objects, SSRS) experience a plus
- Experience with network operating systems, wireless hardware configuration and setup, and/or reporting application tools are a plus
- Experience or industry knowledge in supply chain management solutions a plus
- Experience with Koerber’s Software’s Advantage Platform and Advantage Applications a plus
- Previous experience with ServiceNow
- Background in project management, solution and data-model design, configuration, and implementation of supply chain software solutions
