CAD Software Engineer

  

Körber Supply Chain is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical or Software Engineer with a strong background in CAD, Object Oriented Programming, has a passion for learning innovative technologies and process automation. The ideal candidate will have experience in C# and/or VB.NET, MS Excel, and office applications.

The CAD Software Engineer will be responsible for helping with new .NET plugins for Autodesk AutoCAD, Vault products for Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Bid Factory under the direction of Supervisory Software Engineer. Software Engineer will develop custom software applications to enhance the productivity of end users.

Your role in our team

  • You will develop and test C# plugins for AutoCAD and Vault products using .NET API.
  • You understand the engineering processes followed in the company, understand the requirements of the end user, and effectively translate these into software solutions.
  • You challenge the status quo by coming up with better solutions.
  • You will develop mechanical layouts for material handling systems and create bills of materials and drawings.
  • You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to set programming requirements, milestones, and release schedules.
  • You will use Azure DevOps to store and maintain the code base.
  • You will develop WinForms and WPF applications. Convert WinForms to WPF.
  • You will train end users in new software solutions.

 

Your profile

  • You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Computer Science) and gained 0-3 years of software development experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You are familiar with AutoCAD 2D and 3D CAD. Ability to create dynamic and static blocks, XREFs.
  • You have experience in MS Excel, Pivot Tables, Filters, and macros.
  • You have analytical problem-solving skills.
  • You can read, interpret, and analyze customer specifications, technical procedures, and professional and government regulations.
  • You can draft reports, create presentations to communicate changes, and present information to various stakeholders.
  • Your Mathematical abilities include Trigonometry, logarithms, and quadratics equations.
  • You can work in a fast-paced complex deadline-oriented environment.
  • Experience in object oriented programming and presenting flowcharts and/or explaining code is a strong preference.
  • Experience in working with AutoCAD .NET API is preferred.
  • Experience in WinForms and WPF is preferred.
  • Understanding of design patterns is preferred.
  • Understanding of material handling concepts and conveyors is preferred.
