The Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of contract management within the Parcel, Automation, and Consulting Supply Chain business unit. This role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, mitigates risk, and supports project execution by managing agreements with customers, vendors, and partners. The position requires strong knowledge of contract law, negotiation skills, and familiarity with supply chain automation projects.
Your role in our team
- You will assume ownership of customer contracts from project initiation through close‑out, ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements, notice provisions, and amendment processes
- You will serve as a core member of the project execution team, maintaining alignment with project managers and cross‑functional departments on scope, execution, and financial impacts
- You will lead the identification, documentation, and negotiation of change orders, ensuring all scope changes are proactively managed and contractually supported
- You will develop and implement claims strategies, ensure timely issuance of contractual notices, and coordinate the preparation, substantiation, and negotiation of claims with customers and subcontractors
- You will act as the primary contractual point of contact during project execution, supporting dispute resolution and partnering with legal on complex issues or escalations
- You will ensure that lessons learned from execution‑phase issues are captured and communicated
- Assess and document legal and commercial risks, draft required legal statements, and facilitate internal approvals to ensure compliance with company policies and acceptable risk thresholds
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, participate in approval meetings, and ensure compliance with company policies and risk tolerance at all project stages
- Maintain and improve form agreements and templates to streamline processes and increase efficiency
- Coordinate with attorneys to develop innovative approaches to contracting requirements, obligations, and exposures
- Execute compliance with relevant corporate limits‑of‑authority protocols and, with assistance from company counsel, summarize risks identified during contract review to support approval
- Educate business partners on key commercial, legal, and corporate policy considerations across Canada, Mexico, and the USA
- Efficiently implement corporate policies, initiatives, and programs related to contract and RFP reviews across Canada, Mexico, and the USA
Your profile
- You have strong expertise in commercial contracting principles
- You are proficient in MS Office and contract management systems
- You communicate complex contractual concepts clearly to diverse audiences
- You excel at achieving mutually beneficial outcomes while protecting company interests
- You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and effective problem‑solving skills
- You maintain a high level of accuracy when reviewing and drafting documents
- You work effectively in fast‑paced, evolving environments

Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management, preferably in supply chain automation or material handling projects
- Proficiency in US Law
- Experience in Canadian Law is preferred, understanding of Mexico Law preferred
- Experience with large-scale industrial automation or logistics projects is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cross-border compliance, customs regulations, and international trade agreements
