Your role in our team
- You will work as part of a multi-discipline team to support complex design, development, maintenance, enhancement, and testing of Material Handling Systems.
- You will review system requirements and design documentation to define system report and user interface requirements.
- You will collaborate with Electrical & Control Engineering resources to ensure electrical hardware and control equipment designs align with system status reporting and interface requirements.
- You will develop, deploy, and commission human machine interface (HMI) software aligning with system design parameters.
- You will create functional test plan documentation to support HMI functionality testing.
- You will complete estimates for Controls HMI Engineering level of effort.
- You will complete recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.
Your profile
- You have a bachelor’s degree in software or computer engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
- You have three (3) years of successful experience in a related field and successful demonstration of Knowledge and Responsibilities.
- You have experience with Aveva/Ignition software, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Schneider PLC architecture and networks. Other platforms are a plus.
- You have expertise understanding electrical equipment hardware and designs (Motor Control Panels, PLC, servers).
- You have Network design experience using Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ASI Bus, ControlNet, DeviceNet.
- You have experience in HMI programming.
- You have experience with conveyor system HMI systems and reporting software.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You have strong ability to document technical decisions with illustrations and clear verbal explanations
