As the Director of Quality and EHS at Körber USA, you are entrusted with the comprehensive management of quality and environmental, health, and safety standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the highest levels of product, plant, supplier, project, and service quality, while ensuring adherence to ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000 standards.
You role in our team
- You will craft, implement, and uphold the Quality Vision and Mission for Körber USA.
- You will strategically plan and execute initiatives to meet or surpass quality KPIs, enhancing product warranty, reducing the cost of poor quality, and boosting customer satisfaction.
- You will oversee the development and enforcement of quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product reliability and compliance with international standards.
- You will manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000 standards.
- You will lead and develop the Quality department, setting clear objectives and ensuring all team members are proficient in current quality standards and practices.
- You will promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation within the quality team.
- You will engage with customers to collect feedback and drive service and product quality improvements.
- You will enhance supplier relationships and improve supplier quality through regular evaluations and cooperative improvement programs.
- You will manage all regulatory and standard compliance issues effectively.
- You will conduct and supervise internal and external quality audits to maintain ongoing compliance and identify areas for enhancement.
- You will set and enforce quality standards to ensure all products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
- You will manage quality assurance across manufacturing operations to align with both internal and external standards.
- You will develop a comprehensive supplier quality program that includes criteria for vendor selection, quality audits, and ongoing performance evaluations.
- You will integrate quality planning and control into project management processes, ensuring all major projects comply with project specifications.
- You will define standards for service delivery that align with our commitment to customer satisfaction and monitor post-sales service quality.
- You will enhance environmental, health, and safety practices in line with ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 standards.
- You will manage relationships with third-party safety contract service providers to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- You will develop safety reporting protocols to monitor performance and implement necessary improvements, coordinating closely with Safety Service Providers.
- You will oversee all safety, environmental, and health-related activities, serving as the primary liaison with contract staff for these areas.
Your profile
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Science, or related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma Black Belt, CSP) is highly desirable.
- You have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in quality and EHS management, with extensive experience managing ISO standards preferably from Material Handling automation industries.
- You can demonstrate leadership in obtaining and maintaining ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and ISO 45000 certifications.
- You have a proven track record of improving quality, safety, and environmental practices in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- You have exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
