As the Service Technician Coordinator at Koerber Supply Chain, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our installation and site management operations. You are responsible for scheduling all planned work across multiple installation sites, aligning customer project needs with resource availability, and tracking execution.
This position requires close coordination with project managers, site installation managers, material, and installation servive technicians to optimize resource use, maintain high completion rates for project tasks, and ensure accurate documentation of labor and travel documentation. This is a field-based support role that requires close collaboration with service planners, logistics teams, and site supervisors to ensure effective technician utilization and project support.
Your role in our team
- Create and maintain daily and weekly technician schedules based on project priorities, technician availability, and skill sets.
- Coordinate with the site installation managers, site supervisors, material expeditors to ensure all work is assigned, properly scheduled, and ready for execution.
- Communicate assignments clearly to Service Technicians by using a two-week lookahead schedule.
- Monitor technician labor utilization by comparing ADP reported hours or other workforce management systems.
- Provide weekly reports on technician productivity, project coverage, and work completion rates to the site installation manager and project managers.
- Support the planning of technician activities for off-day and transitions; anticipate labor needs across multiple ongoing projects.
- Collaborate closely with the material expeditor to confirm material availability and proper kitting for scheduled tasks.
- Track and escalate schedule conflicts, labor shortages, or unassigned work to leadership.
- Maintain accurate and timely system records for work order completion, time tracking, and resource assignments.
- Support technician mobilization and demobilization logistics, including travel schedules and equipment needs.
- Provide coverage and coordination support across multiple projects as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure project continuity and field team support.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all service requests are fulfilled and customers' needs are met.
Your profile
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; ability to manage dynamic schedules across multiple job sites.
- Familiarity with planning tools for scheduling, labor tracking, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of service workflows, installation logistics, and project coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with a focus on clarity, timeliness, and professionalism.
- Ability to interact effectively with field technicians, planners, and support departments.
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools for data entry and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel if needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- 2–4 years of experience in service coordination, logistics scheduling, or technician dispatch support.
- Experience in customer-facing field service roles strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
