The Quality Engineer maintains and improves product and process integrity by ensuring adherence to quality standards, engineering specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role conducts structured inspection, documentation, and analysis across the production lifecycle, supports root cause investigation and corrective action, and drives data-based decisions that improve product reliability and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer partners with production, engineering, and supply chain to monitor quality performance, prevent recurrence of issues, and sustain continuous improvement in a safe manufacturing environment.

 

Your role in our team

 

  • Perform inspections of incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications through visual checks and measurement testing.
  • Conduct in-process inspections of machined components, sheet metal parts, and welded assemblies to verify conformance to drawings and process requirements.
  • Inspect electro-mechanical assemblies, printed circuit board assemblies, and cable/harness assemblies for conformance to specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Approve or reject finished goods based on specification compliance; coordinate and verify rework where applicable.
  • Document all inspection results in compliance with internal procedures; input quality data into designated systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain and calibrate quality and measurement equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Follow applicable safety procedures during inspections and shop-floor activities and escalate hazards or noncompliance per site procedures. Stay current on applicable industry standards and internal quality procedures and update work practices accordingly.
  • Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives by completing assignments that align with department and business unit goals.

 

Your Profile

 

  • Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing blueprints.
  • Proficient in quality documentation, data analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with safe material handling practices (pallet jacks, forklifts, overhead cranes); equipment operation requires proper training and certification where applicable.
  • Perform effectively in fast-paced, production-driven environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Adaptable and dependable with the ability to manage evolving priorities and additional assignments.
  • Proficiency with basic statistics and data tools such as Excel or quality software to analyze trends and support decisions.
  • Proven experience with ISO 9001-compliant quality systems.
  • Strong knowledge of core quality tools such as 8D, 5-Why, SCAR, and calibration systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
