Your role in our team

This is a highly experienced and strategic role that will lead our Supply Chain Parcel Logistics engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, logistics, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and innovation.

  • You lead multi-disciplined engineering teams within parcel operations to drive product development and project system integration, and your strategies optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative engineering solutions, and manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure project success
  • You foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the engineering team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Your analysis of data and metrics identifies areas for improvement and drives continuous improvement initiatives, while staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge
  • You define and align the Engineering strategy with senior leadership, managing engineering delivery responsibilities, including scope, schedule, and budget
  • Your collaboration with Controlling and Finance functions develops department headcount and utilization forecasts, and you manage Engineering P&L performance
  • Developing strategy and plans supports new product innovation and sustainability requirements, and you identify and develop solutions to reduce engineering and design process gaps, driving increased deliverable quality and efficiency
  • Collaborating with Project Management resources supports overall product design and project delivery requirements, and you support sales opportunities by providing engineering estimation, solutions, and technical expertise related to material handling system design. Additionally, you provide career development and performance feedback to Engineering managers responsible for leading engineering teams, managing department and individual goal plans, providing guidance, and supporting professional development opportunities

 

Your profile

  • You have obtained a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
  • You have gained 10+ years of experience in supply chain and logistics engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Your certification as a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Supply Chain Operations Reference Professional (SCOR-P) is desired and preferred
  • You can travel 30%
  • Your Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Systems Engineering skills and abilities include an understanding of material handling system technology capabilities, operational process flow, new product development, electrical systems and automation technologies, machine-level control and functionality requirements, and the ability to integrate complex systems and ensure their efficient operation
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team
  • You are experienced with logistics software and technology solutions
  • You know industry regulations and standards
