The Senior Financial Analyst will lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization efforts across manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role will develop financial models, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost reduction. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and IT to enhance reporting tools, support capital investment decisions, and ensure financial compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and HGB. This role also oversees customs site operations and drives process improvements to increase efficiency and financial performance.

 

Your role in our team

  • You will develop and manage financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • You will provide variance analysis between actual and budgeted/forecasted financial performance.
  • You will evaluate and monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
  • You will provide financial insights for supply chain, procurement, and inventory management.
  • You will work closely with production and operations teams to optimize cost structures.
  • You will identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
  • You will support capital investment decisions with financial justifications (ROI, NPV, payback period).
  • Prepare financial reports for senior management, including dashboards and executive summaries.
  • You will ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS/HGB (German GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
  • You will assist with internal and external audits.
  • You will collaborate with management to develop monthly forecasts & annual budgets for cost centers
  • You will manage customs site operations and support the customs broker in efficiently processing imports through U.S. Customs.
  • You will partner with IT to enhance financial reporting tools
  • You will lead or support internal process improvement initiatives

 

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field. An MBA or CPA/CMA certification is a plus, indicating advanced financial expertise.
  • You have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in manufacturing finance, supply chain finance, cost center controlling, or related areas.
  • You have experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is a plus, especially for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • You have strong financial modeling and forecasting abilities
  • You have expertise in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control.
  • You have the ability to function well in a high-paced environment and deliver results to meet timelines
  • You have SAP experience
  • You have advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
  • You have experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • You have knowledge of financial reporting systems and GAAP/IFRS/HGB (German GAAP) compliance
  • You have experience working in a manufacturing & project environment
  • You have a strength in presenting financial insights to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • You have experience collaborating with plant managers, operations, supply chain, and sales teams.
  • You have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities.
  • You have a continuous learning mindset, staying current with financial best practices and industry trends.
  • You have a keen eye for detail and excel at working with large data sets and complex reports.
  • Other duties as assigned
