The Senior Software Developer in Supply Chain Solutions is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that optimize supply chain operationsin the mail and parcel sorting industry. This role involves leading development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of supply chain software systems.

Your role in our team
- You will lead software development projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating with other teams to ensure timely delivery and successful project completion
- You will work with test engineers to review how the completed software works in the live environment of mail processing
- You will work closely with test engineers to understand the software requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs in the mail and parcel sorting industry
- You will be involved with database migration and other modernization projects
- You will be responsible for all phases of developing software for various platforms and integrating software applications with existing supply chain systems to ensure seamless operations and data flow
- You will interface with and work directly with customers on requirements, and with project managers to coordinate technical project activities
- You will represent the company in customer-facing technical meetings, supporting the project as a technical expert
- You will maintain comprehensive documentation of software designs, development processes, and system configurations
- You will learn and assist in the entire life cycle of projects, from requirements engineering to final deployment
- You are open to domestic travel for customer meetings and integration testing (up to 25%)
Your profile
- You have 5+ years of software development experience (required)
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- You have experience with C#, C/C++, Java, XML, and/or .NET framework
- You have familiarity with source control software packages such as DevOps, GitHub, etc.
- You have good oral and verbal communication, reporting, and writing skills
- You have experience with distributed systems architecture, multithreaded application development, and/or experience with GUI development
- You have proven experience in software development, with a focus on supply chain solutions.
- You have proven track record of leading development projects.
- You have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- You have experience working in a collaborative and team-based environment
- You are able to meet the requirements to obtain a USPS sensitive clearance
